Profile
John grew up in Kitchener, Ontario and spent his weekends and summers at his stepfather’s farm in Milton where he trained and raced standardbred horses. He always wanted to live out west, so when he was 21 he packed up and drove to Vancouver. After working at Expo for the summer, he started college in the fall, to fulfill his lifetime dream of becoming a fisheries biologist.
John got his degree from UVic in 1994, and worked for the next fourteen years as a fisheries biologist throughout B.C. and the western United States. He worked on projects like watershed restoration and salmon survival studies on hydro dams, but he found the constant travel away from his family got tiring. Finally, in 2005, he decided to leave Seattle, where he had been living for almost 7 years, and start a new career.
John used his years of research experience to help him figure out a new profession. He found that his love of working with people, his strength with numbers, his discipline and ability to focus on the future were a great fit for real estate. When he and his family moved to Langley, he started taking his real estate license at UBC School of Business.
Some of the things John enjoys most about real estate are: he loves helping people understand all the steps involved in a real estate transaction and going the extra mile to make sure everything is done and there are no loose ends. He strives to know as much as possible about every property, so there are no surprises. John has a great reputation as a thorough, down to earth realtor who always has his client’s best interests at heart. John lives in Fleetwood with his wife and two beautiful cats. John focuses on both Commercial and Residential real estate representing buyers and sellers. John loves sharing his passion for real estate investment especially in commercial real estate.
My mission statement is to provide the best real estate service with honesty, integrity and sincerity. Where caring for your clients and putting their needs before your own is not a cliche but a way of life.
